While “student development” is the essential task of the whole educational process at MidAmerica Nazarene University, for the Student Development Office the term is more specific. Programs and services sponsored by the Office of Student Development include those planned experiences which move students toward appropriate personal goals drawn from compelling Christian models.

 

The Campus Police Department works to provide members of the campus community with opportunities to learn, work, and relax in a safe and secure environment.

 

Intended Educational (Student) Outcomes:

 

  1. Students will learn essential personal safety skills and experience a sufficiently safe and secure environment. 

 

  1. Campus constituents will learn and demonstrate basic emergency preparedness skills.

C.  The precipitous drop in performance gap between years can partially be explained by action taken in Student Development.  Greater care was taken throughout the year via student forums, email notifications, and direct communications with staff members, to convey student options when it came to a redress of grievances.
